A Labradoodle. ”I have a Labradoodle”, she said. Now, for those of you who know me, you know that I see humor in almost everything…especially at the most inopportune and inappropriate times. Every time I have heard this name, I could not help myself from imagining the mating rituals of the breeders to produce this mix (or other exotic breeds) of a Labrador Retriever and a Miniature Poodle.
When my client told me she had this dog, you could imagine the giggle I had to stifle.
Granted, I’ve always noticed a large amount of dogs and dog-lovers in my own neighborhood in Stonebridge Ranch in Mckinney, but call it a case of “the Baader-Meinhof Phenominon“…I started to see these dogs everywhere! Not just Labradoodles, mind you…I began to notice breeds I had never noticed before. I am not kidding, I am pretty sure I even saw a Daneadoodle. If you could only envision this huge, lean dog with very apparent poodle traits, being proudly walked by its owner…I just had to wonder how that could even happen.
Granted, I have always been a firm advocate of pet adoptions, such as the Collin County Animal Shelter in Mckinney, but I started to wonder, as I noticed the proud owners jogging alongside these exotic breeds. Do I need one of these? Would the new dog somehow make my own adopted shephard mix somehow feel inferior?
There’s no doubt that living in Mckinney is a wonderful place for family and dogs alike with it’s exemplary-rated and blue-ribbon winning schools, to it’s vast ray of amenities of Stonebridge Ranch . I personally enjoy all of the trees, parks, water views and rolling landscaping that most of the communities offer (obviously making for a scenic route on your way home from work, or better…from your very own back patio).
Exotic breed or not, give me a call or view my website below if you’d like an opportunity to call this amazing place your new home.
