Ever wonder what happens when mail gets "lost"? I know it happens pretty rarely, considering the sheer volume of mail that the U.S. Post Office (not to mention FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.) handle, especially during the holidays! (From the long lines in my local post office, I could definitely say that it's A LOT of mail!) Well, it may finally reach its destination - it just might be a little late!
On Yahoo! this morning, I came across this story and decided I just had to share it - Christmas Card Arrives 93 Years Late.
A Christmas card written on December 23, 1914, was delivered to the relatives of its original intended recipient, her sister-in-law, since the original recipient is deceased.
It's a mystery where the card has been all these years, but it was delivered - what a blast from the past! can you imagine receiving such a piece of history in the mail, almost as if the past was speaking to you!
The one-cent postage was not enough, however - the postcard had to be placed in an envelope with current postage on it to be delivered!
