Black River may get new Marina and Dry Stack

County approves Planned Development along the Black River
Black River Sports won approval from Georgetown County Council for a Planned Development (PD) on the Black River just north of the Highway 701 bridge 7 miles north of Georgetown, SC. The permit now awaits approval from DHEC (South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.) The final plan is projected to include a dry stack boat storage facility, a marina with slips, boat ramp, and fueling facility. The existing store, Cooter's Corner County Store, is included in the Planned Development. Black River is an amazing place with abundant wildlife, kayaking, waterskiing, fishing, and close proximity to the Intercoastal Waterway.
