Mural Searcy AR

The mural that stretches from Arch Street to Market Street in downtown Searcy is finally finished. (I think, but there may be something planned for the open space in the middle of this black and white and gray one.) Recognize any familiar landmarks in this mural?

This view stretches it out a little further toward the courthouse.

And here are all 8 panels.  They were done by Harding University professors and students and they have done a great job!  Note the top of the courthouse in the background.

Luke, why'd you have to ask that??  LOL  I may have to drive back by there just to read it.

Barbara, you have created a mystery for us Searcy sleuths unintentionally

My take on the quote is  "Whatever you do in word or deed"

This is part of the New American Standard Bible (©1995)  Colossians 3:17 verse "Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father".

I think those last two murals are great. I have said before that I don't care for the other five. They are probably good industrial art but don't do anything for me as city murals.

Mary, that is exciting.  There were lots of little mouths to feed.  Children had to be better behaved then than now. LOL

Don, the murals are all nice and well done, in my opinion.  So do you think something else will go in the blank spaces of the last one.  Thanks for saving me a drive-by and answering Luke's question.

I love those murals. Do you think they had them all planned out before starting the project, or is it possible that they regrouped with the start of each one. The first ones were good, but the last ones seem to be more ambitious.

Hi Barbara, the murals are great, they show the history of the town.
