I always love to give honest and constructive feedback to Listing Agents about their homes that I have shown to my buyers.

Yes, we know sometimes it is a pain to answer 10 to 20 phone calls on Monday and Tuesday; after a long weekend of showings.  But you know what - I expect feedback on MY listings - so it's only fair we return the favor.

Last Friday I received an email from one of those Feedback services.  I thought that was odd; as I hadn't shown anything in over a week.  So when I pulled it up - I was like - WHAT PROPERTY IS THIS?

At first I thought it was a mistake; so I ignored it.  Then on Monday I get the notice again.  I look more closely this time.  Yes; I did show this place; but over a month ago!

In fact so long ago; my buyer found something else, negotiated an offer; inspected and settled.  Hey that commission check is already been put into savings to get a few bucks interest before Mr IRS asks for his handout.

So I filled out the comments as best I could (my memory isn't THAT good!).  Then in the "other comments' I wrote - if you want better feedback - you need to contact Buyers Agents quicker.  I showed this 5 weeks ago!

Perhaps it was a bit snippy - but you know what?  IS this agent doing his best to represent his client if he is asking for feedback 5 weeks after a showing?

I get calls and emails like this periodicallly myself.  Often, I have to really think in order to even figure out which property it was, and sometimes I can't recall anything at all about the buyer feedback.

I do find those calls annoying and I don't make enough of them myself.   And so many agents call days or weeks later, and I tell them I can't remember a thing.  All that dope in the 60's killed a lot of brain cells.  My halfheimer disease is kicking in.  Whatever.

And that email company ought to be virused!

Here in Provincetown on Cape Cod, it is a small community and we all know each fairly well.  Many times I give feedback before the Seller's Agent calls me asking for it.

Dan - Yes; I usually always call within a day or two - 5 weeks is just lazy.

My question is if it hasn't sold since you showed it 5 weeks ago, then what has he been doing for his sellers if he hasn't been getting feedback?

5 weeks?  5 days is too late in my book.  Asleep at the wheel I would say.  some people should change jobs.  real estate is not for them
