The Illinois Prairie Path is a multi-use nature trail for public use that spans approximately 61 miles in Cook, DuPage and Kane Counties.  In Wheaton, the Prairie Path cuts diagonally across the northwest portion of the city and then runs parallel to the railroad tracks.  The Prairie Path can be used for running, walking, bike riding, and even horse back riding.  For your comfort, along the path you will find restrooms, drinking fountains, benches, parks, playgrounds, gazebos, informational showcases, and trash containers.

Cosley ZooCosley Zoo is located at 1356 N. Gary Avenue in Wheaton and is made up of 5 acres of land.  At the zoo you can see a large variety of domestic farm animals and native Illinois wildlife.  The zoo also features a historical train station and railroad caboose and a large tree-lined picnic area.

The Lincoln Marsh is a 130-acre natural area with many diverse habitats.  If you are a bird watcher you can head over to the woodlands where you can see several species or go by the wet prairie and cattail marsh where you might even see some woodpeckers.  You can also see a multitude of plants and flowers in the restored prairie area.

Cantigny Park is located at 1S151 Winfield Road in Wheaton and offers a variety of activities including picnic grounds, museums, gardens, and a green house.  Also a part of Cantigny is its 18 hole golf course which was named in Golf Digest's 2004 edition of "Best Places to Play".

Arrowhead Golf Club is composed of three 9 hole courses that can be combined to form three separate 18 hole layouts.  The tees, greens and fairways are Bent grass and some water comes into play throughout the course.  There is a practice area that consists of a lighted driving range, putting green, chipping green and bunkers.  The beautiful new clubhouse was opened in the spring of 2006 and it offers a great dining experience along with a bar, pro shop, and banquet facilities.

Atten Park is a 39.6-acre park located on Wiesbrook Road on Wheaton's southwest side.  The park offers a picnic shelter, four basketball courts, six baseball fields, four lighted baseball fields, one soccer field, four tennis courts, a Tot Lot, playground, community garden, and two batting cages.

Kelly Park is a 16.43-acre park located at the corner of Elm Street and Main Street and offers a picnic shelter, a pond and natural area, one basketball court, three baseball fields, two tennis courts, two soccer fields, a Tot Lot, playground, and an ice rink.

Rathje Park is a 7.38-acre park located at the corner of Roosevelt Road and Delles Road and offers a pond and natural area, a Tot Lot, an ice rink, and fishing.

Seven Gables Park is a 66.5-acre park located off of Naperville Road and offers a picnic shelter, a pond and natural area, one basketball court, two baseball fields, three tennis courts, nine soccer fields, a Tot Lot, playground, and an ice rink.

Clocktower CommonsClocktower Commons is located on Naperville Road just three blocks north of Roosevelt Road.  This park offers a 12,000 square foot skate park - The Rail, and 18 hole mini-golf course, and a concession stand.

Rice Pool & Water Park is located at 1777 S. Blanchard Road directly behind the Wheaton Park District Community Center.  The pool features approximately 200 feet of zero depth edge where visitors can walk into the water.  The water gradually increases to a depth of 16 feet which is where you can find three diving boards.  About eighty percent of the pool is less than 4 feet deep.  There are also three water slides, a water play area with a waterfall and more and two sand play areas with volleyball courts, a tether ball court, and room to build sand castles.

Community Center is a 122,000 square foot building located at 1777 S. Blanchard Road.  The center offers a gymnasium and indoor track, the Parks Plus Fitness Center, a Tot Lot, six multi-use rooms for group rental and one small meeting room available to rent.

Memorial Park is a 3.05 acre park bounded by Wheaton Avenue, Union Avenue, Hale Street and Seminary Avenue and offers public washrooms, drinking fountain, one tennis court, parking, senior center, band shell, gazebo and concession shelter.

Northside Park is a 69.63 acre park located at the north end of West Street and offers public washrooms, drinking fountain, picnic shelter, pond/wetlands/nature area, four basketball courts, three ball fields, six lighted tennis courts, 2 soccer fields, open play/grass field, tot lot (under 5), playground (6-12), ice rink/skating, Girl Scout cabin, Boy Scout cabin, vita course, sled hill, warming house, outdoor pool and fishing.
