We are heading north to CT in a few days. The last time we tried to do this on Christmas we were flying and delayed by a local ice storm. We walked into JD's mother's home at 10pm ( should have been there at 5) and everyone was headed to bed. As most of you know, driving this time of the year is CRAZY! We discovered a few months ago that taking the good old train is wonderful. Climb aboard in the morning and you get there by dinner time. We could read a book on the way up and another on the way back home. We can stop around midday and have a nice lunch. You can even use your cell phone or watch a portable TV. And it is very reasonably priced.
So give yourself a break the next time you take a long trip. Take the train.
