Found this in my draft folder. I thought I post it for posterity, as it is 4 years old. It is amazing how much the market has bounced back from dark days of the great recession.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS FROM MARCH 2012
Here is a market snapshot for the San Francisco Bay Area Counties. The economy seems to be improving, thanks to the strength of the Hi-Tech industries which are so prevalent here. Homes have been selling rapidly, if they are priced right, in all price ranges, and the slump seems to be quickly going away. Reports of multiple offers are very frequent. I have one Broker friend who had 45 offers on one of their listings within 2 days. House sold for 10% over asking price.
I hope you will find the following snapshot of local Real Estate inventory interesting. The table represents aggregated values based on MLS data for the specified date.
