25 Comments on The Sound of Music-A Few of my Favorite Things
Great Post ... and terrific way to compare the Sound of Music to our business ... and yes, the Hills are alive with Music IS resonating in my ears ... Nice job!
Well those songs certainly do kind of describe a day in the life of Lottie Kendall. And congratulations on that note. It makes our job worthwhile when someone takes time to appreciate us.
Nice Job Lottie! First of all, on working so well with your buyers.... it's always wonderful when they recognize a job well done, and second of all on Your movie choice.... one of my all time favorites. Will be singing a few of my favorite things all day, and that's a good thing :-)
Morning Lottie now you've gone and done it. I can't get that darn sound out of my head. <sigh> What to do what is a guy to do? Guess I'll just go out and hit some golf balls that ought to do it
Lottie - Oh, and you can't forget the inspirational song about never giving up, "Climb Every Mountain"!!! I never get tired of watching the Sound of Music - such a brilliant film and so many "true to life" moments. Thanks for a great post!
Sally, how in the world did I overlook that one! I'm glad I'm not the only one who enjoys the Sound of Music--it's my feel-good movie.
James -- it's OK to have that stuck in head; at least it's a uplifting song. Enjoy those golf balls!
Amy, thanks. That note I posted came as such a complete surprise; we had just lost out in a multiple-offer situation, and lo and behold, Ralph's nice note appeared in the mail. I love my clients!
Jane, getting notes of appreciation make all the travail well worth it. I know your clients appreciate you.
Marianne, it's terrible to get a song stuck in one's head--but at least these songs are nice ones. What I hate is something like, "raindrops keep falling on your head...."
Nancy, I hope your hills are alive this spring. Happy Easter to you and yours.
Roger, our thanks to YOU for encouraging us with your contest!
Mel, you've got a GREAT tune going! It most definitely is a wonderful world, and a little travail makes us appreciate it more than ever. All the best to you!
Li, I'm glad you enjoyed the post. Happy weekend to you.
Jennifer, thanks for your kind words. I'm very fortunate to have great clients.
Hi Lottie ~ Thank you so much for the mention here in your post and thank you for referring your friends to me. We finally received short sale approval and hope to close early next month! I will keep you in the loop as we get rolling next week!
I really appreciate your trust in me!
Terrie
Terrie, I hope we'll do this again. It's nice to know the right go-to person!
Lottie, This blog is music to my ears! You have really connected with rhythm and sole the spirit of your movie and connections to your success.
Lottie- you realize of course that the sounds of Do-Re-Mi and My Favorite Things are being sung and hummed by many members of the AR community. Love how you tied the life of a Realtor with the songs from the Sound of Music.
Hello Ellen and Kathy -- thanks for the kind words. Are you humming yet? Hope you had a delightful weekend and looking forward to a productive week ahead.
I love this musical. Isn't it interesting how music can relate to so many things in life.
I know, Tammie. Many mornings, as the day starts to take and change shape, I think of the lines, "what will this day be like, I wonder."
Lottie:
I love that musical too. The music was marvelous, the scenery beautiful and Christopher Plumber was so handsome.
Yes to your entry...well done and thank you for sharing
Evelyn, I agree with all 3 of your points!
Richie, thanks for your kind words.
