One crawfish is pointless, a 100 crawfish make a bountiful feast! Thanks to their teamwork and tender white flesh, a group of crawfish can put a smile on any Cajun's face.

Agents can learn a valuable lesson from from these delicious mud bugs. We need to stick together during difficult times.

Unless just know returning for a four year vacation, you are aware of the challenges we face. And hard times do not spare ActiveRain members. Probably an agent (or more) from your blog role is struggling making ends meet. And it only takes a couple of lean months before most agents are in real trouble.

Can we individually do anything to help? Probably not. I for one don't have that kind of money resting in the bank. But together we can make a difference.

Imagine the pep we could return to a beat-down agent's step by sending them to NAR or their franchise convention free of charge? My Keller Williams friends tell me Bold is amazing. Likewise, the Century 21 annual meeting always has a star lineup.

Perhaps we could each give a little (say 10-20 bucks) into a designated AR fund. It would not take long to raise enough money to send a fellow Rainer to NAR free of charge! That might be the boost that turns their career around!

Of course there would be rules. Maybe a certain length of tenure on AR, letters of support from other members, etc...I could even see something similar to a scholarship panel being formed.

What are your thoughts? Would you invest 10-20 bucks into a fellow member?

I suspect that there are a lot more hard up agents than we know. Our average closings per member in North San Diego County is 6 per year for 2010. That's pretty scary.

Melissa-- 6 homes a year? That probably did not cover their expenses!

Doug: $15-$20 is a couple of Starbucks or one meal out. If there is a way to make this work, I'm in.

Thanks Anne! It's theoretical only for now, but if the response is positive we could make this happen in 2012!

Doug you need to run this by Bob or Kerrie so they could brainstorm this idea and perhaps put together some kind of challenge and make more of the AR members aware of this good idea
