©Send a Care Package to Someone Special©
Do you know someone who is away from you? Is your family member away at school or in the military? Someone in your community away for a sabbatical? If your answer is yes, then maybe it would be nice to send a care package.
My daughter is on the East Coast going to school so I try to send her a package once a month. I just put a few goodies in the box and send it to her. She is always surprised and happy. We all like to get mail and packages so what a thrill to get something tasty, sundries, or even a pair of socks.
Yesterday morning, I went to my daughter’s favorite local bakery called Martha Green’s Eatery. Some of you might remember I did a localism post last week as this is a fantastic café and bakery. Yum Yum; Lemon, Orange, Strawberry and Red Velvet Cupcakes!
So I bought some Easter cupcakes and cut-out sugar cookies. Stopped by the store and bought some basket filler in yellow and blue, a plastic egg with M&Ms, Peeps, a Dove Bunny and a small wooden giraffe I had bought her….she loves giraffes.
Aren’t the cookies yummy looking?
Here is my helper CoCo, she was making sure I didn’t forget anything in the box.
Packaged it up and sent it on Thursday at noon. It will be delivered Saturday morning just in time for Easter.
I like to get the free boxes at the post office, fill them full, tape them up and send them off. Depending on which box there is a flat rate no matter what the weight is. I usually get the medium box for $7.95 plus I pay $.85 cents for tracking. Oh, I forgot to mention it is delivered within 2 days anywhere in the US. It is so simple and what a good way to make someone happy.
