One of the most unusual experiences with GPS that I had, was a few years a go. I was traveling up in California Gold Country. They had just completed a bridge from one range of hills to another. And the bridge cut several miles out of the travel route of the past. When I was on the bridge, GPS showed I wasn't on a road, but out in the untraveled barren fields of the past. . .It was trippy!
