Carra, What a powerful movie and powerful review by you. The 'volunteer' Katniss has to be admired for taking her young sister's place without even thinking.
This film makes one think about the games people play under many circumstance and then how distracted we get about injustice and cruelty that takes place with these games. ' What a great analogy to real estate. Hope you entered this post in Roger's contest...a winner for sure.
Margaret
Wow Carra is this is an awesome review of the popular Hunger Games Movie. I haven't seen it yet but you've made me want to...even thou it feels so uncomfortable with the idea of kids killing kids.
Great conversation builders around many dinner tables....
The Hunger games very possibly could awaken the viewing public and take away the numb feeling about what is going on in the world today by the themes that are present in the film.
@Margaret So special to hear from you. I don't know about Roger's contest so can you send me a link? Always up to share ideas that might help people. Thank you for the nudge.
@Anna Excited to read you liked it. Can't wait to have a discussion with you. Might be a fun workshop getaway... hope you make it to our AR meeti up in Flagstaff... come stay with me and we can talk more about the movie... I am reading the book now.
Margaret I found Roger's contest and have to revise this to 500 word :)(*&^%$# I am not a person of a few words :D
