Report on Inman News Blog quotes Redfin as hiring bloggers to write on specific neighborhoods.
Here's what I think this means:
- An end run around REALTORs who are farming this neighborhood
- Micro-market specific should yield good search results
- They get paid $100-$200 a week and are not in the real estate business, so who gets to make money off this client?
"The goal is to create an insanely addictive blog about everything that moves in Seattle real estate. We're hiring for neighborhoods all over Seattle, from Tacoma to Issaquah to Bainbridge Island. For your neighborhood, Redfin would send you all sorts of data on fixer-uppers, price reductions, properties that have been long on the market, new construction notices. Your job would be to tour new open houses, snap a few pics, and write up a review." I think the article eminates from Future of Real Estate Marketing who picked it up from Ubertor Real Estate Blog and also credit to Greg at Bloodhound
Ok now I feel kinda foolish, that was basically a full circle that is two months old news.
I'll jump on the blog dashboard and look for Greg's original post, and associated comments.
