Giselle did come home with me, but as a foster dog!
I became a foster mommy for Arizona Greyhound Rescue today! Giselle (see photo) is my first one, and today was the first day she ever saw a house, mirror, glass door, television, garage door (very scary), etc. She could stand to gain a few pounds (she can have a few of mine!), but she seems to be doing quite well and is following me everywhere! It will be my job to teach her all about how to live in the real world, and to take her to Petsmart to help find her a "forever home". Of course, it is highly likely that I will be a "foster failure". That's what they call it when the foster families fall in love with and adopt their hounds. Only time will tell!
Dawn, how wonderful. She is beautiful and looks so sweet. You go girl! I bet you keep her! I also want to know the ongoing story of Giselle and her adoption. Keep us informed, please!
She is a beautiful dog. Was she a race dog? She is going to love you ... and vice versa. I have four adopted dogs (they seem to find me). A multi-dog household has its challenges, but all very worthwhile for their sake and mine. Best of luck to you and Giselle. Giselle thanks you from the bottom of her heart!!
I just read the rest of your blogs and see that she was a racer. It would be nice if that sport was outlawed. Happy New Year to you and Giselle -- what a great future for both of you !!

Sounds like Giselle has a (long-term) home. Please let us know if you become a "failure."
