John Chesnut Park at 2200 East Lake Road in Palm Harbor Florida also has a great doggie park!

John Chesnut Park

Located on the eastern shores of Lake Tarpon, this beautiful park is 255 acres! It is here that you will find another one of Pinellas County's great doggie parks for your four legged friends to romp with other dogs.

Barbara-Jo's Beach Blog,ClearwaterFloridaRealEstateBlog.com

The park offers showers for cooling off and water fountains for your pets. There is NO swimming allowed in the park for humans or pets. Lake Tarpon DOES have alligators, so swimming would NOT be a good idea!

Be sure to check out the links to see all that is offered for your dogs and what the rules and regulations are regarding hours and use of the facilities.

Hello again Barbara-Jo. Wow the picture is gorgeous, and the description sounds as good. Alligators, I love animals but alligators.....not so much.

William - it is indeed!

Sheila - that is why there is NO bathing in Lake Tarpon...........we bath in the Gulf of Mexico instead.....about a 15 minute drive from the lake!!!

Barbara- what a phenomenal picture ... it looks so inviting.  I am so glad that more and more of the areas have dog parks.  Saving this should we make it to the west coast.

Howdy and afternoon Barbara Jo

Barbara Jo my friend, the John Chesnut Park sure does look and sound like a mighty fine spot, for folks to take their little ole puppy dogs to have an enjoyable time.

Have a good one

Barbara Jo~loved the photos!  Nice presentation, and it sure is good to know that there are alligators....UH HUH. I know that they will come up on land and capture dogs, so I hope that it is cordoned off, or something to that effect.

Dale - it is a great place!

Gayle - thanks...........you just keep away from the water........no fences, the park is as Mother Nature created it with boardwalks to keep your feet dry during the rainy season...............
