April 22 is the 41st World Earth Day and Old Navy is doing its part to help reduce waste. Old Navy is teaming up with TerraCycle to launch a new campaign called Flip Flop Relay!
Old Navy is urging everyone to donate their old, used flip flops from April 22 – May 2st at any Old Navy store in the U.S. Come on …..you know you have plenty of pairs in your house that need to go! Just think you can recycle and transform your old flip flops into material sto build playgrounds! So far, the company has not yet finalized the exact location for the playgrounds but intends to have them in four regions across the US.
Old Navy’s senior vice-president of Marketing, Amy Curtis-McIntyre says that the Flip Flop Replay Program will help create awareness about recycling to children and adults and benefit “Old Navy communities around the country.” So, take a step in the right direction and clean out your closets and donate to Old Navy’s month-long drive.
Don’t forget the four R’s:
Rethink~Reuse~Reduce~Recycle
