Hello Denise-That is a gorgeous listing. What is a ZERO lot? Best wishes for a speedy sale.

Thanks Sharon. I listed a house in Iowa City on Friday last week that got an offer on Monday. I'm kind of hoping to replicate that. :-) To answer your question, a zero lot is pretty much what is called a duplex everywhere else. I don't really know why they call it a zero lot in Iowa. I can tell you that 2144 14th St shares a wall with their neighbors. They also obviously share a roof line and property line. Other than that the property has the same rights and priveleges as a single family home. (No fees, no home owners association or anything like that).

Iowa City is a relocation destination. I can't tell you how often I get asked this question by folks moving here. I'm beginning to think Iowa truly is the only state in the US that uses the term zero lot!

Thank you for that clarification. I had never heard of that term.
