Bank of America Short Sale Process Changes for Atlanta Home Sellers

As anyone who has been through the process can attest, the only things short about an Atlanta area short sale, are the name of the process and the payoff amount to the lender. A short sale is generally a 5-way-win, in my opinion – the sellers, buyers, lenders, real estate professionals and community all benefit when a short sale successfully circumvents a foreclosure .

However, it is seldom an easy win.  

Short sales are typically time-consuming and paperwork-intensive. But some lenders are working to smooth that road a bit. 

Bank of America this week showcased new short sale process changes that will take effect this week, beginning on Friday, April 13th.  The changes are expected to improve the short sale process and task flow, particularly those that are worked through the online equator.com platform. Enhancements will make the process less linear to reduce processing time, and also will provide greater privacy protection for Bank of America customers.
