5 Comments on UN-Retire- Where? We Like Asheville...
Asheville is the kind of town that retired folk can live in and not feel retired. You can literally go back to the future and be in the 60's downtown. Asheville is the beer capital of America, the place where the 1920's come alive at the Grove Park Inn every year at the Arts and Crafts Conference (the age of Gustav Stickley, Roycrofters, etc), volunteer at the Nature Center, attend great auctions, paddle, hike, golf. You name it. It's to do in Asheville.
Thoughtful post...and a nice invitation to explore your region. I always thought the boomers would redesign the retirement years! Changed all other segments, en route...why not the "sunset years"??
Leslie~
I wish you were my personal PR person! You say it as only You can. AND...as a result, you make me appreciate Asheville even more...and I LIVE HERE!!!
Hi Li~
I agree with you on our Boomer Cohorts and the impact on a lifestyle that keeps on giving...
Dear janeAnne,
I guess to UNretire - I'd have to retire first! LOL
I do love passing through Asheville each year on the way to the StoryTelling Festival in Jonesborough Tennessee. The city is so beautiful and interesting!
Have a happy day -
Lynn
