My daughter-in-law who is also my office manager has been involved with an organization called Best Friends Furever. I asked her to write about her organization and what it means to her..
As an animal lover, my wish is for all animals to have the kind of loving home I'm fortunate to provide for my 3 furry children. Being involved with Best Friends Furever is important, not only because the organization is dedicated to finding Forever homes for as many homeless pets as possible, but because our organization is structured so that we can help all of the shelters and rescues in the area, rather than being involved with just one. The events we plan are designed to raise money, awareness and provide a venue to bring people and animals together. Regardless of what type of animal you are looking for, rather than traveling to or contacting many different shelters we provide a venue for rescues and shelters to showcase their animals so that they can find just the right home! Knowing that the number of animals adopted due to these efforts increases every year gives me hope that my and the organization's dream of forever homes for our fabulous furry friends is becoming a reality for many pets in the Central PA region each year!

Last year Best Friends Furever started the annual Petapalooza Adoption Festival . This year it will be held on June 2nd.
This free event will feature some of the lovable, adoptable homeless animals in the Harrisburg area from local animal rescues. Please come out to support all of us & help us find forever homes for our homeless pets! Bring the family (including your well-behaved, vaccinated pet!) & enjoy a day of festivities, pets, contests, music, raffles, & auctions!
