After a somewhat depressing slide over the past five days, U.S. stocks rebounded today after Alcoa started off the earnings reporting period with better than expected results.  At 2PM the Fed's Beige book was released.  The Beige book comments on all phases of the economy and demonstrated some sign of improvement in many sector.  In addition, the government reported that the trade deficit improved over the first half of the federal fiscal year.  All these positives overrode the Eurozone drama and the Dow closed up 89 points.
