True Picture of Real Estate Market

Although market varies form region to region in the country but over all  tone seems to be the same .

I have been following the Real Eastate market very closely here in Orange County CA. The results that come from Data Quick, S&P 500 and NAR (although NAR was much closer to realty than others), some how it does not seem to represent the true picture of the market.

Although some of the people are blaming Realtors about not telling the truth, but I think Realtors are the ones telling the truth about the market and people are just not willing to listen.  I have been seeing about 8-10% decline in the market in the listed and pending property prices. Just went to show properties to one of my clients in Yorba Linda and Chino hills. Three out of ten were subject to short sale. These were properties in the range of 400K-500K.

I have written about it on my page:

You are definitely right.  I am seeing prices closer to beginning of 2005.  However, sellers are not willing to adjust to market conditions.  5931 Kingsbriar was a perfect example.
