I love those no "permit" fishing days where they stock the pond so kids can definitely catch a fish.  We do that in Hershey, PA too. . . it's a lot of fun!  Enjoy!

Larry & Sheila -- Sounds like fun. No permit required and lots of activities for the kids. Fishing is a great sport to get into. Hooking that first fish is such a thrill and the looks on their faces is priceless!  I think I STILL look that way after I catch one after all these years of angling. Great localism post!

Larry & Sheila, we required permit to fish in Sarasota county FL. Fishing need patience and those who participate in the event will have fun.

Larry & Sheila, This will be a grand event ... fun for the entire family.  I have done a lot of fishing in my youth ... mostly deep sea fishing but I do it all ... including fly-fishing.  Today I am all about catch and release.

This sounds like fun and a great idea not to require fishing licenses. My husband and I both remember events at Belmont State Park when we were kids.
