Pecan Grove Park is a large park on Pitts Road that features, baseball, football, soccer, sand volleyball, playground, restrooms, picnic tables, picnic pavilion and Frisbee golf. Other parks are Belin Park on Farmer Road, Plantation Memorial Park on Plantation and a park on Old Colony. A several mile long jogging trail is the top of the flood protection levee that sourrounds Pecan Grove.

The other subdivisions are Pecan Lakes, Waterside Estates, Texana Plantation, Rio Vista, Rivers Edge, Waterview, Fieldstone and Long Meadow Farms. Pecan Grove Schools

Two school districts serve Pecan Grove with majority of homes in Pecan Grove Plantation being in Fort Bend Ind. School District: Pecan Grove Elementary School, James Bowie Middle School and Travis High School. Lamar Consolidated ISD schools are Austin Elementary School, Wessendorff Middle School, Lamar Consolidated Junior High School, Lamar Consolidated High School (www.lcisd.org). A Wharton County Junior College trade school is located in Richmond. WCJC and the University of Houston have a joint campus closeby on west side of Sugar Land.
