The Redbuds Came Early This Year in Kansas

The Kansas landscape came alive early this Spring with many days of above normal temperatures in late March and early April.  It is nearly mid April now, and the Redbud flowers that are typically blooming at this time have already appeared and vanished!  Gone are also the Flowering Pear Tree blossoms that come to life when the warm air settles in.  Look around and you will still see some tulips, but probably not for much longer!

I went for a walk in Junction City, Kansas on April 1, 2012 while the Redbuds were still in bloom and captured this image before the blooms wilted and blew away in the Kansas wind.  How is Spring where you are at?

Very pretty, Paul!  This has been a really unusual year across much of the country.  OUr area has also experienced earlier and warmer spring weather this year.  However, our rains have come late.  We are glad to see the moisture.  We were worried about water storage for summer.
