I have a cell phone that, by technological standards, must be over thousands years old.
The way I figure it, techno years are a little like dog years, except one day equals one techno year. So, that makes my phone very old because I originally purchased it in July of 2004.
The only reason it stopped working is because I dropped it one time too many. But, it didn’t stop working when I dropped it. I tried to get my brother to glue it, but that never happened.
So, I
taped it together. Don’t laugh, I dropped it last spring. It ceased to operate two weeks ago. And yes, I took some heat for my ‘unprofessional’ appearing phone. But hey, it
worked and the truth is people didn’t notice unless I pointed it out. (it was
clear packing tape)
One evening I looked at it and thought to myself ‘I really need to get the numbers from this phone before it dies’. Evidently it didn’t like me talking like that. It died the next day.
My phone.
Now I am trying to figure out what phone to buy next. Do I stay with my current provider or do I switch? How much should I spend? What do I really need?
Oh, I really would love to get the phone for free.
What do you all suggest I consider?
Oh, if you don't hear from me for a while...
Next I'll be looking for a Tablet PC and a Camera!
Doreen- You make me laugh!! If it wasn't that I didn't see this taped, scratched and beat up phone I would never believe it. You had me laughing here tonight. I know I have seen some great write ups on phones, types and styles. As for free, that should be pretty easy in my opinion. Go with your current provider and just pick one out. Your choices will be pretty limited.
If you are looking for one with all the bells and whistles then I would do a deeper research but most like the all in one with a PDA, WiFi options. You will have to pay out of pocket most likely but there are usually lots of rebates!! I am big about less is more...what I mean by that is if I can carry one unit/object opposed to a cell phone, pda, lockbox key etc... I would and the price would be with it. It's the service that gets me mostly and starting a new contract is not something I care too much for. So I would suggest my desired phone... 750p or a Blackberry... go for it...you are a top producer and need to make your life easier! As for the camera... check out Shannon Leferve's photos out and ask her what camera she uses...I love her photographs...I would have what she has!
