Happy Holidays to all ! As I try to "spool it down" for the holidays, I find it difficult. Oh, I can relax, I can kick back with a cold beer. But agents keep looking at my listings! Ain't it grand? Here is it, Sunday morning, two days before Christmas, and my phone is ringing, and has been ringing steadily since Friday.

Was it like this last year? If so, it has fallen into that vast wasteland of blurred memories I carry around in the round thing that is attached to my shoulders.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday, and that in addition to the time well spent with family and friends, you will be blessed with a call or two. It's a great feeling.

7 Comments on Traditional Selling Season - A Thing Of The Past?

We are just coming into our traditional selling season, but it still surprises me that people are buying just a few days before Christmas....dont they have antthing better to do.....I took two listings and  wrote up two offers last week, (one accepted), showed property yesterday and got a new lead through my website last night.  Maybe I shouldnt be surprised... Christmas has evolved into an excuse to buy more stuff....There are more cars in the mall parking lots this weekend than in the Church lots. People are in a buying mood, why not buy a new house too.

I thought it would be a bit quieter now through the end of the year, but so far, it's been anything but. I was sitting here, minding my own business, watching a movie, when my phone rang -- because I forgot to turn it off. Darn. But it was a FSBO I'd be talking to since last April calling from out of town to ask me to list his home. And that's just the tip of the iceberg action. There's no slow time for us, Kevin.

Kevin, Sure has been a busy weekend. Had no buyers last week and then all of a sudden this weekend I showed homes to 3 different people and got a bunch of calls on my listings. It's going to be a great 2008!

Kevin, I am so glad you are busy even during the holidays. My past history has had the holidays be some of my best production. Thanks for the good wishes and that it includes some business. Have a great Merry Christmas Day and a wonderful New Year!
