The quest for perfection continues today as the Pats take on the hapless Miami Dolphins at Gillette stadium this afternoon at 4:15 PM EST. The Dolphins are 1-13 and finally recorded their first victory last week against the Baltimore Ravens. They defeated the Ravens at home in front of many players from the 1972 undefeated season, that team went 17-0. Interestingly the Dolphins beat the Ravens by more points than the Pats did.
With the Dolphins finally garnishing a victory I believe other than pride they will be playing for a chance to preserve their franchise's record of 14-0 in 1972 during the regular season. They ended up 17-0 with a Super Bowl Victory.
The Dolphins just added Bill Parcells as their Executive Vice President of Football Operations. Does this give the Dolphins that extra bump for the game today? Will Jason Taylor play as he has a bum foot. Brady regards him as one of the most feared players he has ever faced. Jason Taylor would look great in Patriots Blue and Silver wouldn't he?
If the rain holds off today look for Brady to light it up via the air today as the Pats only need 35 points to break the league record for total points scored. Ironically Randy Moss played on that team when he was with the Minnesota Vikings in his rookie season of 1998.
I have a few of Randy's rookie cards and I wonder if they are gaining value as he is having a great season and he only needs 3 TD catches to tie Jerry Rice. Brady needs 5 TD passes to break Peyton Manning's record of 49 touchdown passes. Who would have thought that record would be in jeopardy with 2 games remaining.
The Pats are sending 8 players to the Pro Bowl while in the NFC the Cowboys are sending 11. Does that mean the NFC is that weak?
I really thought Wes Welker deserved to have been selected but there are other great players also selected.
Predicting the score will be tough today as the weather is iffy and it looks like the Pats may have to look to Laurence Maroney again to take the work load.
Look for the Pats to win 27-10. If the rain holds off and Brady is able to throw effectively and if they take a big lead early they just might break the league points total at home. Really, what else do they have to play for?
PERFFECTION to say the least as the quest for the Super Bowl is Paramount.

GO PATS!!!!!
Always been a Pats fan - especially when I lived in North Attleboro and could spin up the road to the stadium at Foxboro. Gotta love 'em!
