Anita - We have a big dogwood festival in our area -- but not until mid-May. Hope you get to enjoy and beauty and all the activities....a costumed dog parade?? That should be fun!
Anita, Great way to get some outdoor fun at The Dogwood Festival today and tomorrow in Perry GA. Looks like there will be lots to enjoy!
Sounds like a perfect spring day. Dogwood are so beautiful and colorful and arts and crafts shows are my favorite.
Keith: It has a storied history and is such a quaint place.
Barbara...plenty of hot dogs and other assorted costumes I imagine. HA!
Larry/Sheila...the weather is perfect for the event too. Should be packed.
Roger...I enjoy them as well (both the dogwoods and arts/crafts). ;-)
Hi Anita. These are the kind of events that can define a community. I hope you get the chance to get out there and enjoy some of the sights!
What fun! Idabel had it's annual Dogwood Festival last week-end and everyone had a wonderful time too.
Now that sounds like a lot of fun. The residents of Perry GA are so lucky to have this free dogwood festival.
Carol Ann...trying to clear up my calendar tomorrow to go enjoy the festivities.
Judi...these are fantastic events for the community. Lots of fun and an infusion of business for the local community.
Debbie...Free is always a good option and consumers will be flocking.
Hi Anita -
The 24th Annual Perry Dogwood Festival sounds like it would be an awesome event to enjoy! Debbie is missing her Alabama spring and it's color. She's been on the hunt all over Albuquerque for Dogwood trees. She wants to plant one in the backyard just see if her green thumb can make it live. So far we haven't been able to find any. Debbie won't give up and will probably end up ordering one. She has told me how beautiful they are as I have never seen one in bloom.
Have a great day!
John
Anita, the Perry Dogwood Festival looks to be a whole lotta fun. The dessert contest caught my eye first (naturally), but then saw there is a costumed dog parade AND performances by the Perry Idol finalists - something for everyone! Love your dogwood picture - so beautiful.
Darn, I missed it again. I was going to take a run up to Perry and do the Dogwood Festival; but got tied up here for unimportant stuff like closings, etc. I will put this on my calendar for next year.
John...they are beautiful...not sure they would make it with your hot summers though.
Karen...the desserts and the animals would be high on my list.
LOL Toni...who needs closings?!
Anita, this event looks fun and funfilled for the entire family! Must be nice to see blooms already!
Joan: Good clean wholesome fun and the price is perfect too!
Hi Anita, I love festivals. We just had our chocolate festival today... loads of fun, chocolate and laughs.
Rebecca: What's not to like about a chocolate festival?! YUM.
Good morning Anita,
The Perry Dogwood Festival looks like a wonderful weekend event - I wish I were closer!
Lisa...it is so much fun for the entire family.
