Welcome to Lake Road Condos, in Valley Cottage, NY.
This condo complex was built in 1970. There are 1 bedroom, 1 bath units, 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath units and 2 bedroom, 2 bath units. The square footage of these condos ranges from 754 square feet to 1196 square feet. The condos are either on the first floor or the second floor.
If you live on the first floor, it is easy to enter your condo, since there are few steps to climb and this makes it great for people who do not want to climb many steps to enter their homes.
Often the assigned parking spots are close to the units, too, so bringing groceries into the kitchen is easy if you buy a first floor unit.
Many of the units have been upgraded and have kitchens with new wood cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, and granite or corian coutertops, as well as new bathrooms.
The condos are light and bright and airy. They have hardwood floors and many owners have refinished them so they are gleaming.
There are washers and dryers in some of the units and residents have common laundry rooms available to them, too and there is extra storage available for each unit.
The grounds are beautifully landscaped and they have specimen trees, ornamental shrubs, flowering perennials and annuals.
Many units have decks that face tranquil courtyards which makes it delightful to enjoy nature, while relaxing on your deck.
The Lake Road Condo complex has many amenities, including a pool, handball/paddleball courts, basketball courts, tennis courts, a playground, and a barbecue/picnic area.
Residents of this condo community are close to transportation, recreation, shopping, and many restaurants.
You will be minutes away from the NYS Thruway, the Tappan Zee bridge and other roadways that make commuting to NYC, Westchester, Connecticut and Bergen County, NJ easy. There is also public transportation to NYC close by.
Rockland Lake State Park is nearby. This park offers boating and fishing and has two public pools and a level three mile walking, jogging, roller blading and biking path around the lake. Two golf courses are in the area, too.
The Palisades Mall is a short drive away and offers many shops, restaurants, movies, ice-skating, bowling and other recreational activities.
Another benefit of living in the Lake Road Condos is that you will be close to Nyack, the SoHo of Rockland County, where you can enjoy antique shops, boutiques, and many delightful restaurants and several theaters.
At the time of the writing of this article, there are four condominiums available. There are two 1 bedroom, 1 bath units offered at $134,990 and $192,500 respectively. One 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit is on the market for $222,000 and one 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath unit is listed at $225,000.
Between January 1, 2011 and the time of the writing of this article, four condos have sold. Two 1 bedroom, 1 bath condos sold for $175,000 and $185,000 respectively. Two 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath units sold for $180,000 and $222,500, respectively.
