Everyone should recycle their Christmas trees when possible.

For our area, Bryan and College Station residents can recycle their Christmas trees this year.  On January 5, 2008, between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m., local residents can drop off their trees at Central Park in College Station or Sue Haswell Park in Bryan.  For everyone who drops off a tree at that time, they will receive a free seedling and an environmental information packet.

College Station residents have another option as well.  Residents can put their tree on the curbside to be picked up between December 26th and January 4th on their regularly scheduled bulky item pick up day.  Remove all ornaments, icicles, lights and extras.
