Jerry posted this and I thought what a great tool! Agents can find so manty uses for video and often we struggle with converting it into form awe can use..
How to Convert Your Videos from Your Camera or Smartphones ??? This was the year that I promised myself to start making more videos to promote all my marketing efforts, but I quickly discovered that when I used my camera or my smartphone to shoot a video that I could only watch it if I opened it in “Quick Time Player”. Yes, my Windows Media Player didn’t work, and I was lost without any clue as to how convert my videos into a format that was acceptable to Windows Live Movie Maker, since Quick Time Player did not work with Windows Live Movie Maker.
I was using Windows Live Movie Maker to edit all my videos before I published them on YouTube. I know there are probably other video sources available, but I was already very familiar with Windows Live Movie Maker, and wanted to continue using that product whenever I made a new video. Consequently, I began to ask questions, and to search the internet for more answers to my problem.
The one product that I discovered and decided to use was called “Freemake Video Converter”. Naturally, I immediately loved this product not only because it was “FREE”, but is was easy to use, and to convert your videos. You simply find that Quick Time Player file on your computer and convert it into Windows Media Video. It even converts audio to MP3, iphones, iPads, etc. Once my videos were converted into WMV, the rest was easy. Then, it was just a matter of uploading the newly converted WMV into Windows Live Movie Maker. I wanted to share this with my AR community, since I lost a couple of weeks trying to figure out “How to Convert my videos from my camera” into an acceptable source before I uploaded them to YouTube.

Jerry ~ Most of the videos I have are AVI format. Quicktime is the standard with Apple and it's pretty easy to work with. When I did start to convert videos from VOB, FLV or AVI to WMV, etc I asked my son... He was quick to point out several, one of which you have mentioned here. Now that video is becoming more of a commonality, I have begun to ask Clients and customers what type of computer they have and which OS they have, that way I can convert it for them. Pretty soon I think we'll all be video/movie aficionado's. Watch out Spielberg... lol... :)
Thanks, Scott. I appreciate the re-blog, and I know the word will be getting out there to many others, who may need this easy to use tool.
In response to Jon above, Yes, Speilberg will need to watch out for us professional agents, since I know many are starting to get into the videos production mode.
