Art is in the Air - Newport News
“Love is in the air,” seems to be the theme song in the spring, summertime the song is “party tonight,” but fall’s song in Newport News is definitely “Art is in the Air.” From October 13thto October 14th 2012, the Port Warwick Arts & Sculpture Festival is enticing all artisans to come together in order to show of their fine art projects and compete against each other. What could be more fun than loving what you do, showing off the fruit of your labor in front of an audience, and being in the company of people who share the same passions as you have?
This years theme is “Mad For Art,” and the call is going out to all artists who want to take an active part in this event to fill out and submit their applications to: http://www.zapplication.org%20

The museum has an observatory, planetarium, conservatory, plants, animals, technology, historic icons like the Titanic, and so much more to activate the senses. What has this to do with art? Well, one look at any flower, plant, animal, or the night sky and this question should be easy to answer. Artist all over the world and throughout history have been inspired by God’s creation.
