Welcome to Astri Terrace Townhouses, Valley Cottage, NY. This development is close to the heart of Nyack, New York, the Soho of Rockland County, which has many shops, restaurants, antique stores, art galleries and theaters.
The Astri Terrace townhouse complex was built in 1987. It consists of tri-levels with 2 bedrooms, 3 bedrooms and 4 bedrooms. The townhomes are between 1368 square feet and 1678 square feet and are bright and sunny.
The first floor of these units has a sunken living room, a formal dining room, a kitchen, a full bath, a laundry room, and in some cases a bedroom.
The living rooms have cathedral ceilings, skylights, and woodburning fireplaces to enjoy on those cold winter days and nights.
The second floor has a master bedroom, another bedroom, and two full baths.
The lower level, when finished, has a family room and an additional room.
Each unit has a 1 car garage and there is room for more cars in front of the garage. There is also additional visitor parking.
This community is small and intimate. It is in a tranquil setting that provides a sense of peace and calm.
Each townhome has two decks which face west, one on the first level and the other on the second level, off the master bedroom.
You can enjoy fabulous views of the Ramapo Mountains and the NYC skyline. On a clear day, it feels like you can see forever and it is quite spectacular! Imagine the beautiful pink sunsets over the mountains, as you relax on one of your two decks.
As a pet lover, I am happy to say that pets are allowed!
Commuting to Connecticut, Westchester, New York City, or Northern New Jersey is easy from this townhouse complex. It is close to the NYS thruway (I-87), the Tappan Zee bridge, the Palisades Parkway, and the George Washington Bridge. It is only a 20 minute ride to New Jersey's Garden State Parkway, Route 17 or Route 287. There is also public transportation convenient to NYC.
Rockland Lake State Park is nearby. This park offers boating and fishing and has two public pools and a level three mile walking, jogging, roller blading and biking path around the lake. Two golf courses are in the area, too.
The Palisades Mall is a short drive and offers many shops, restaurants, movies, ice-skating, bowling and other recreational activities.
Another benefit of living in this community is that you will be close to Nyack, the SoHo of Rockland County, where you can enjoy antique shops, boutiques, and many delightful restaurants and several theaters.
At this time of the writing of this article, there are no townhomes on the market.
A townhouse sold on November 17, 2011, for $299,000, and it was a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit with 1368 square feet. This was a short sale.
Another townhouse sold on June 14, 2010 for $340,000 and it was a 4 bedroom, 3 bath unit with 1678 square feet of space.
