Riverside Area Camp Meeting 2012
April 30 through May 5, 2012

The Riverside Area Camp Meeting 2012 is an old fashioned tent revival that lasts from Monday through Saturday. Five different churches participate nightly in the revival. Each night a different church is responsible for providing servers for the meal, providing workers for the children’s camp, the pre-service music, and bringing the message.
The pastor’s names are placed in a container, and the days of the week are placed in another. A day is drawn and then a pastor’s name is drawn. On Saturday the pastors and the audience are treated to music and a message from the Glowing Hearts Ministry team.
The Riverside Area Camp Meeting 2012 schedule is as follows:
Monday: Burning Hope - Jim Parrish
Tuesday: 1st Baptist Dodge - Jason Bay
Wednesday: Broyles Chapel - Ural Massey
Thursday: Faith Baptist - Kyle Coston
Friday: Riverside Baptist - Jim Newton
Saturday: Glowing Heart Ministry Team

Each pastor has a different style and personality. After the first night, you will not want to miss one second of the rest of the services. God has a special gift for you and He is going to be using these great men to deliver it!
The Riverside Area Camp Meeting 2012 will be held at Riverside Adventure R.V. Park at Highway 19 and the Trinity River Bridge in Riverside. Look for the BIG TENT! April 30 - May 5.

Meals and Pre-service Concerts start at 5:30 pm

Preaching and Praise Service Starts at 7:00 pm

This sounds really cool, I hope everything goes well and a lot of people are touched!
Have an AWESOME evening!
The Riverside Area Camp Meeting looks like it has an amazing lineup, Joni - fun and uplifiting!
Hi Joni - I'm southern but not Baptist so this is new to me. I think its neat to hear different people talk. Thanks for sharing.
Joni, looks like a great community time. Blessings to the Riverside area and to you Joni!
Cal
Good morning Joni,
Wow the Riverside Area Camp looks like it has a full agenda for the community! Enjoy your retreat I can see why you will be there to join in all the fun!
I bet you will be talking with some prospective home buyers and home sellers at the revival meetings.
Have an outstanding week.
Joni The Riverside Area Camp Meeting should be very special. Even with our large number of Southern Baptist churches we do not have many revivals in Northern Virginia
Those look like a great bunch of Godly men that pastor those churches.
Joni - what a great way for Riverside residents to get out and rejoice in the Lord. I love they're using so many different preachers to share the wor.
Joni,
This is a very interesting concept for these days. Every evening for a week is doable if you have enough time in advance to plan. The Pastor's probably get competitive and try to out do all the others. After one week all attendees should feel closer to the LORD.
Joni, That is AWESOME! I can remember some revivals in Fairfield, CA when I lived there where we would not know who was giving the message till the night of the services.. All the Pastors had to be there every night and you didn't know who would speak till right before Praise and Worship started... Talk about having to be "Instant" in season and out... I have not seen revivals done this way for years.. God gets ALL the glory..
Thanks Michael: I look forward to it EVERY year. It is amazing!
Karen: It is!! :))
Cathy: I had never heard of it before I moved here and I was raised in the Baptist church. But... it's not about what church you go to, it's about the relationship with Jesus. Your church membership will not get you to heaven. :) But then, you already know that! ♥
Cal: You would love this. Wish you could be here to preach!
Dorie: I sure will! And I will be reporting on it every night! ;)
Roy: Then you would likely lose that bet. In all of the years that we have been going, only once did someone introduce me to someone and tell them to call me to list their house. And even then, I did not talk to them about real estate. I did end up listing their house about 6 months later.
Karen: That's interesting.
Mike: They are Godly men!
Juli: I love to hear them all. Each has a different style, they are all wonderful!
Robert: They all do a bang up job! I have been blessed that I have never had to miss a night. I get to enjoy them all!
Joe: Wow!! That is very cool. The church members from these particular churches are very faithful to be there every night. God is GREAT!!
