Dallas International Film Festival 2012
The Dallas International Film Festival (DIFF) kicked off last Thursday night with a post screening of the film "Liberal Arts," at the Majestic Theater in Dallas. Produced and directed by Josh Radnor, this brilliant comedy-drama stars Radnor, Elizabeth Olsen, Zac Efron, Richard Jenkins, and Allison Janney. Premiered at the Sundance Film Festival January 2012, this film is scheduled for release next Fall.
This year, the Dallas International Film Festival will screen over 125 films, from 27 countries, at the Angelika Film Center, Magnolia, Northpark Center AMC, Texas Theatre, Hotel Palomar, and Fair Park Hall of State. Other special events are scheduled at the Nasher Sculpture Center. In some cases, cast members, directors, and producers are available for questions and answers after the screenings. The film Festival is a good opportunity to learn a great deal about film production and marketing.
"RoboCop" will celebrate its 25th anniversary, with a special screening at the Texas Theatre. Cast and crew members are scheduled to attend this special event on Saturday, April 21, 7:30 PM at the Texas Theatre.
