Emergency Sewer Project by Bridle Trails State Park, Kirkland WA

Those who use the 116th Ave NE in Kirkland to get to work will have their morning commute interrupted these next few weeks.

There is an emergency sewer project that will close the road from NE 53rd to NE 60th from 7 am to 4 pm each week day from April 9, 2012 to roughly the end of April 2012.

The beautiful Bridle Trails State Park is on the East side of this road. On the West side there is a row of houses between 115th Ave NE and the 405 freeway. These houses have always been on septic, because the county sewer service stopped at 60th to the north, and 50th to the south.

The road crew is working diligently to put the sewer right down the middle of the street. Here is a video I shot of the work on the very first day.
