Where's Rich

So I've been married to this awesome amazing man since 1981 and for all those years we have never laid our heads down in separate beds until last night.

Yesterday Rich went to Texas for 5 days to attend a Real Estate Seminar. That's one of the many things I so dearly love about him. He is always ready willing and excited about learning something new!

I decided not to go because I would be left in my room from 8:00 - 5:30 and that is not something I like. If we were going to Vegas, or Lake Tahoe or even Florida on the ocean I would have gone.

So I dropped Rich off at the airport and I cried all the way home and I cried most of the night!  I am lost and my heart is broken. Where's Rich? Even our dogs and our cat are lost without him.

What I have learned already from this experience is my life with out Rich would not be. Without question he is my heart and I have always known I was blessed to have a love like this but now there is no question. I also learned a tiny bit about the pain suffered by those that love and morn the loss of their love. I learned that with Rich everything matters and without Rich nothing matters.

Rich and I had the courage to marry 30 years ago with a 20 year age difference.  In those day that was not cool and their was no word for women that married younger guys.

Every day of my life  I thank God for giving us the spirit he gave us that allowed us to move forward with a decision that was frowned on by all but one dear friend who the night before we got married and I was having cold feet said, "If you don't marry Rich because you don't love him, that's cool but if you don't marry him because of what others will say I lose all respect for you." I loved Rich then and I love him more today. God was also kind to us by allowing me to be ageless... I mean check out the photo and that was taken last year... thank you for that gift Father.

I have always appreciated, respected and admired him; moving forward that will not change but after being separated from him I will never take another day with Rich for granted I will love and give thanks for every day we have.

I share this with tears in my eyes and I hope that all that love will never forget that God doesn't promise us a tomorrow and that we will all appreciate and love every second we have we those we love. I know without question that I will and I also know that from now on where Rich goes I go!

PS: Rich will be home Friday.... I will be so excited to see him!

Beth, May the week fly quickly by for you!  You obviously made the right decision those years ago!  Finding the right person to share your life is so critical to happiness.

I love the spirit of this post Beth.  I was lucky enough for God to grant me a second chance thirteen years ago when I met and soon married my wife, Helen.  Perhaps because my first marriage was unsuccessful, perhaps because I had been alone for a long time, perhaps because I realize how truly wonderful Helen is... but I thank God every day for His Gift to me.  I am subscribing to your blog for a number of reasons, one of which is I do not know any Realtors (let alone RE/MAX realtors) in your marketplace.  I hope to get to know you and Rich over time and perhaps even send you a referral.

Dear Chris... I love your spirit too... this was my second marriage... my first husband left me with 3 little guys, no money and Lupus because he didn't want to see me die... Rich and I met in a Real Estate office and I loved him but of course as a friend.. and that's the start of that story... may you and Helen know the happiness that we have known and that I pray to God we will continue to know - Beth  I am subscribing to you also...

This is the sweetest story I've ever seen from two people who have been married for 30 years and work together as well.
