We're two weeks into the Sensei/Grasshopper Challenge, and things are hopping!
There have been 50 posts so far to the Sensei/Grasshopper group, most of which have resulted in successful matches. The range of topics is pretty broad and there seems to be a lot of very high quality mentoring going on. We're also starting to get some posts from both mentors and mentees reporting on their experiences with the challenge, and those are interesting and informative reading.
And the good news is that we still have 4 weeks left for participation in this challenge - it officially ends on Sunday, May 13 - so there's still time for everyone to share their expertise, kick up their game a few notches, make some new friends, and bag an easy and rewarding 2,500 points.
I'd like to ask a couple of favors from the membership:
- Please put the Sensei/Grasshopper group on the list of things you regularly scan when you're poking around on AR. Take a look and see who is offering or asking for help, and, if you find something that you match up with, please jump in and participate.
- As you run across new, or newer, members, please point them in the direction of Sensei/Grasshopper. Your re-blogs, comments and overall support have been extremely helpful in getting the word out about this challenge - now we need to keep the momentum up. (And yes, we will be keeping the group going beyond the challenge, as an on-going resource for mentoring.)
We have modified the rules a bit to accommodate multiple mentorings. You may mentor as many members as you'd like, and if you do, you may write one report post covering all of them. And you can be a mentee more than once and may combine those reports as well. However, each member may only receive the points award one time. And please remember to e-mail me the links to your report, name and AR username, and the name of your mentor/mentee, to register your participation.
Thanks to everyone for supporting the Sensei/Grasshopper Challenge.
