Guilty Pleasures

WISHING YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYSquiet white christmas

I always look forward to receiving holiday cards from my past clients.  I look forward to seeing pictures of the new homes, new babies and hearing news of the past year.

This year was different -

Life can certainly bring its challenges and this year it brought some to my family, friends past clients and colleagues.

One of my past clients is battling cancer, another called in tears because her dad had been unexpectedly killed in an accident.  Another young client in her 40's had a heart attack in September. Two of my colleagues lost their moms in the past few weeks -- My nephew's home was badly damaged by the horrendous ice storm in Tulsa.  My friend's son is doing his 3rd tour in Iraq over the holidays and his family is having a difficult time.

I almost didn't want to open another card or answer the phone.  I was finding it difficult to get back into the Christmas spirit. My family, friends, clients and colleagues were dealing with so much. holiday with friends

It just didn't seem okay for me to be joyous and happy!  I felt Guilty every time I started to sing a Christmas carol, attend a party or dive into the chocolate.

It has been snowing a lot here in New Hampshire and my husband and I decided to go see A Christmas Carol.  It was just want I needed!  I knew that the spirit was with me and with all of those who are dealing with some of life's more difficult challenges.

To all of my family, friends, clients and colleagues, I wish you serenity, peace and healing during the holidays! May the wonder of the holiday spirit fill you with the love and strength.  Stay close to family, friends and your faith and know that you always have a friend who will support you - just give me a call!

    Happy holidays to everyone!

Monika -- I find that keeping upbeat and having family, friends and colleagues like yourself, gives me renewed strength to be strong for others.  It is just what the doctor ordered.  Merry Christmas again to you and Jay.

Ginger and Roger  The play reminded me that although we can't control all events in life, we can certainly have an impact on the outcome.  Being there for others in their time of need had being supportive make it a nice time for everyone.  Merry Christmas and happy new year.

Carole  My spirits have stayed high and I am enjoying every minute of the holidays with family and friends.  Have a very Merry Christmas and holiday and a new year filled with all the best that life has to offer.
