I hope this is the right place to make a post of this nature..
Just a quick word of encouragement to my friends here on A/R..
I was laying in bed the other night thinking about any number of things. Mostly the Lord, and I felt His gentle nudge to put a post out here about the difference between facts and truth..
The bible in Jn 8:32 says "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." (KJV)
Many people don't know the difference between facts and truth, in fact, most interchange the two...
Here is the best way I can explain this.. The facts will say one thing (mostly based on our senses), but the truth generally must be borne in faith (it is not seen or touched)..
The facts may say the bank account is low, but the truth tells us that God supplies all our need according to His riches and glory thru Christ Jesus.
The facts may say you have some form of sickness or disease, but the truth tells us that "By His stripes you WERE healed"
The facts may say one's life is going nowhere, and has no direction, but the truth tells us that "He knows the plans He thinks toward us, plans of good and not evil"
Here is the best definition of the two that I can share..
It takes no faith to believe the facts yet it always takes faith to believe the TRUTH when the facts say otherwise.
The facts will always challenge what we know the TRUTH to be. Truths are the things that God has to say about our lives, and the plans that He has for us, (according to His Word) yet the facts will always try to tell us differently.
When we know the truth, we will not be shaken by the facts..
Facts can change in an instant, but the TRUTH remains forever...
Get ahold of whatever TRUTH you need today to deal with whatever facts come your way. The TRUTH will win!
Bless you all, and have a great day!
