Hey, where did my blog go so fast?

Active Rain is so active that the blogs seem to fly off the screen before anyone is able to comment.

How does one go about getting any screen life to their blogs?

I notice some of the blogs have longer lives then others.

I'm guessing others are in wonder about this same topic.

So, I'm begging the pilots of the successful blogger to drop the bomb on us newbies, plllleeeasse.

Thank you in advance for any help you can enlighten us with.

I have found that to keep your blog on longer you have to blog more often.

Gary - It is mostly about having subscribers. Everytime someone makes a comment on someone elses post your move down one spot. Someone makes a comment on yours it moves to the top ...simple as that :)

It seems to be a matter of how many other people are posting the same time as you -- more activity means you quickly get bumped down the list.  Unless you are featured, of course, which makes a huge difference in how many people can see & comment on your blog.

Also, everytime you reply to a blog it goes back on top.  Not in the new posts, but the top of the blogs group you are a part of.

Duane, good post. All of the comments are good, and I ditto all of them. Just keep your "face" out there, and people will get to know "Duane" and subscribe to you. I think I subscribe to about 50, but I also wander around to catch other's posts as well. Have a wonderful Christmas.........

Mary, one nice part of AR is the members are quick to help with answers, I have found. This is one of the most friendly user site I have ever seen.

Thank you for stopping by, hope your holidays are going well.
