real estate market
 
Many of us in this industry are asked daily, so what do you think, how is the real estate market today? 
 
The answers to this question are as varied as the people who are asked this question.
 
Think to yourself, how do I view the marketplace today? 
 
My answer is this... 
 
The Market today is what you make it! Why is it that some people in any market seem to succeed?  Is it pure luck, or is it a ton of hard work and effort that meets opportunity?  Now don't get me wrong, a select few may fall into opportunity, but most that are the most successful DO NOT GIVE UP, when others do.
 
In any real estate market people are going to need to buy or sell real estate, the true question is are we willing to adapt to the market and where the business is?
 
Question posed to me, well I spoke to quite a few people and they say that the market is horrible... 
 
My Response: Out of 10 agents/reps, how many are succeeding? 
 
More than likely the response is 2-3 are successful, and or more than happy with their income.
 
So you are right, 7-8 people will say it is horrible.. Do you Buy into this? 
 
Have you Heard the Story of "The Man who Sold Hot Dogs?" (Short Story, Cartoon) 
 
The Good News is no matter what, if you want to be creative, differentiate yourself, and put some hard work in that you can make a difference in any industry. 
 
What this does require though is TENACITY & COMMITMENT!
 
Challenge
 
The Big Challenge: To be surrounded with people that do not have the drive or work ethic to get it done, and maintain the DRIVE & PASSION to excel, and rise above! 
 
Answer: Mastermind with like-minded individuals, Read Daily, plug into positive sources, avoid the gossip trap, be better daily, and always lead with a servant leaders heart! 
 
If we can do the previously mentioned tasks routinely, we have no where to go but up! Building friends and clients up, only helps us to master our trade, and build lasting friendships/partners for life.
 
To sum it all up, focus on what we can control, and leave the rest to someone else. For me personally, a huge part of staying centered and humbled, I have found in my Faith, for you it may be something else. All I can do is challenge you to be better daily, and wish you all the best!

Just try to surround yourself with positive people and influences. Negativity breeds negativity. Our market in Lorain County, Ohio is finally pulling itself out of the basement, value wise. Best wishes to you for a positive 2012 real estate year!
