I recently graduated from the CDPE (Certified Distress Property Expert) Charfen Institute.

I contemplated over attending this class for several months but finally decided to sign up. It provided me with a lot of information to assist me in closing more short sales and has a great web site to find information, useful forms that most of the banks accept plus they gave us a great reference book for quick look ups. They also have a nice web site to add your profile and to call if you need any assistance.

Recently I have taken several CDPE webinars (all free) which were full of new and updated information regarding “Short Sale Updates” and “Short Sale Scams”. This week I am signed up for another webinar entitled “The Coming Short Sale Wave”.

For anyone looking to expand their knowledge of short sales, I would highly recommend this 2 day course. I attended it live as they had many locations to sign up for it. They also have the on-line version too.

Also, there are so many Activerain members who have attended this course. Since I first started thinking about signing up, I started noticing how many members have their CDPE designation on their site.

Way to go. This is a very timely designation to get. I'm currently working on my ePro certification. I highly recommend this course to anyone because it really hits the social media aspect of the business very well. It also includes discussions on SEO optimization.

I was working on my e-pro and was at the last chapter where I had to set up a blog and I went awol. OMG, I cannot believe I did that. Now I wish I had stayed with it but it has been too long. Maybe I will get it still. I really learned a lot about computers from them.

Hi Cal, Thanks so much for stopping and commenting. You are so right as the short sale rules change monthly and then we have to deal with federal banking rules and the various state laws too so it can get quite complex. They are more time consuming but a real reason to celebrate when they close and most seem to close now as compared with a few years ago. In 2008, I had two the banks denied but all have closed in the past 4 years. Gotta love short sales.
