Pine Knoll Shores - Tree City, USA
Yesterday morning, I had the pleasure of attending the Tree City USA Presentation in Pine Knoll Shores, North Carolina. Not only was it a special moment for the town, it was an absolutely gorgeous day! Brian Swanson of the Forestry Division, presented the Town with the Tree City USA Award. This is the twelfth year straight that Pine Knoll Shores was honored as a Tree City.... something we are all very proud of. We are 1 of 70 towns in the state, and 1 of 3400 communities in the nation to hold the honor of a Tree City, USA.
Mayor Ken Jones was also present to Welcome everyone and made a beautiful speech honoring the committee, the leadership, the staff and each & every member of the community for keeping Pine Knoll Shores the awesome place that it is. It is a team effort and everyone should be proud! Our little Maritime Forest is thriving thanks to all.
Chairman Dominic Baccollo is to be commended for his hard work and dedication, along with his entire committee. Thank you guys, Thank you Mayor Jones, and Thank you Pine Knoll Shores for providing us with such an amazing community to live, work and play!
