The opening of the first stores in the 800,000-square-foot center has been extended about six months beyond the previously announced time-line, from 2008 to 2009. Extensive planning has been put into Canton Marketplace according to the chatter in the local circles.The entire center is to be completed by summer of 2009.

Sembler projects under development in the northern Atlanta area near Cherokee County include Cumming Town Center in Cumming, Deerfield Place in Milton and Dawson Marketplace in Dawsonville. It seems they have a real interest in this part of the state, and the rumor is that they are looking for more potential shopping center sites along the I-575 corridor.
