Yup! This was the view from my car window while waiting in line at the Canadian/ US Borders, earlier this week. The weather was absolutely delightful. Perfect for our annual family reunion organized by my father with the Maple Syrup theme.
My dad makes his own maple syrup for well over 40 years. This year was a tough season due to the early warm weather but even if the production was low, the fun and laughter was at an all time high. Unfortunately, my daughter could not join us this year due to an illness. Therefore my husband stayed home to care for her and off we went; my son and I, for a "quick" 12 hour road trip.
Next time I will see this scenery will be this July! Home sweet home indeed.
