A couple of weeks ago our doorbell rang.
There is a for sale sign in our yard and when I went to see what was up, a white mini van was departing from the curb.
I had not finished the morning cleaning so I could not have let anyone in if I had gotten to the door in time.
A few minutes later a call came in from a gentleman asking to see the house.
We agreed upon a time and the folks came .
They liked the house but said it was smaller than they wanted.
As they were leaving the gentleman who had told us he was affiliated with the church just over the fence from our house. He also said "although the house is not just what we need, what would you take if we were just to write a check?"
We had not considered an as is right away transaction. We told him we would talk about it and suggested that he call us back.
He never did. But while he was touring the house he mentioned that he was only here for a few more days. He was working on a recording project close by.

The man is a well known Christian musician and minister. Who knew?
We mentioned his name to a friend who was visiting us later in the week. She was astounded (almost fell off her chair) and very impressed! Come to find out, our visitor is scheduled to do a concert at our Church in August.
Small world! Wonder if the visit from him would have been different if we had been aware of his celebrity status?
