As every year, the Space Symposium takes place at the Broadmoor - a luxurious and famous hotel in the Springs.This is particularly of interest as Colorado Springs has become one of the major military space hubs in the country. To say it more eloquent:

"The National Space Symposium, held at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is the premier gathering of the global space community and a "must attend" for anyone in the space business."

The Symposium is a knowledge exchange among the Who is Who in the space industry and a little bit of geekdom -in one. Government contractors, Army, Air Force and other companies rub elbows, exchange information and form new relationships.

For a non-space person, I still love to go: The Broadmoor is always a  great place to be (even if you don't spend the night there) and there are several exhibits that are even fun for me and some of the loot is incredible. ;-) This, of course, makes it also very attractive for kids as well. My son had the chance last year to attend with the Civil Air Patrol Cadre. Personally, I would like to see a greater involvement of schools in this exhibition to foster an interest in science and particularly in space. Take a look at the ever  changing photo gallery.

Hi Susanna!  Thank you for sharing this information on the Space Symposium at the Broadmoor and the cool video.  Although the video is cool, YOU are one smoking real military wife "Reporter".  How much of the frozen popcorn did you eat?  ;-)  Best wishes always.

Sounds like a huge undertaking Susanna and truly a lot of fun. Space has to be a very interesting trip no doubt, can you imagine when we ca take a ride to the moon and back
